Brilliant footage xmx, though I'm a bit anti birds of prey at the moment. I've got a sparrowhawk attacking my garden birds every day, very cunning and proper nasty.

How can a bird afford a camera like that.

To see how cruel the nature in one's very own garden can be, watch what a sparrow hawk does to a pigeon!

It can't be as bad as what a fox does to a pigeon, or in fact all of my pigeons Scared

There is stuff on youtube of em taking 30 mins to kill large birds Joel, gruesome. They are very single minded and tenacious, it must have chicks to feed. Failed aerial attacks twice the other day, but then later gently landed on the lawn and crept into the shrubs under the bird feeders, knowing the sparrows root in there for spilled seed. A shotgun like blast of sparrows came out through the bushes and I had to chase it off.

A sparrowhawk decided one day just a couple of weeks ago, to attack my next door neighbour's metal chicken figure which was sitting
on top of a post next to his chicken coop. All that was heard was an almighty thud as the sparrowhawk hit it at 100mph!
A sparrowhawk took a pigeon off my conservatory roof past year.
I was in my kitchen when I heard an almighty bang.. thought at first something had fallen off my roof, but saw then that the sparrowhawk
had taken the pigeon and was attacking it on my lawn. I took some photos, a bit of nature in action.
I'll post them as soon as the mods allow.
