Blood Business (2017)
RT screens documentaries each week - usually found on ytube.

In the USA only 20 percent of blood is used in hospitals for patients in surgeries - the rest is turned into medicines. expensive medicines worth billions.

From the 1970s to the early 1990s, thousands of people given NHS blood products developed HIV and/or hepatitis C. We now import our plasma via a government-owned company(from USA). But in 2013, the government sold an 80% share of the business to Bain Capital, a US venture capital group. Though there is no reason to doubt the quality of plasma supplied, many feel uncomfortable about introducing the profit motive to the supply of blood products.

i always wondered were the private hospitals get their blood? Bupa and such.

news just blamed.... thieves,drug addicts,jibber jabbers,perverts...

one guy could have caused it? because the blood was pooled...

so blaming any group is kinda dumb.
especially as the same groups give blood now.
they just have better screening tests.
more cleaning the machines regularly with disinfectants.
they have trouble screening out prion proteins. mad cow.

what about people who got tattoos - i remember some people got
infected by dirty tattoo sanitation. hepatitis.

lets blame poor people who are criminals.
