Suzanne, by Leonard Cohen. Reminds me of my glory days of running rampant thru the french canadian female population of Toronto.

I attended a funeral for a very good friend after his father passed away. One of the songs that they had chosen really had an impact on me purely because I thought it was so beautiful. It's so far removed from the type of song I usually listen to and will never forget it.

Although I didn't know his poor father at all I wish I had heard it in different circumstances.

Truely beautiful.

I absolutely love this song. If you have never heard of it before have a listen, it used to be played on the 'Trigger Happy' series sometimes.

I'd never heard this song before it was posted on here but it fits the bill. Think it was Sideshowbob that posted it the first time I heard it. Great song. Very sad though.

Forgot this one. Poignant duet about a really sad time in the mid 90s. Seems like a different world entirely almost.

I suggest anyone in a depressed state gives all the above a miss, unless they fancy trying suicide. Leonard Cohen songs are a great accompaniment to assisted dying.

That is absolutely brilliant thegiggilo, I don't open random links that often but I'm glad I did with your choice, Myles Kennedy has got a great voice. Such a great song that is, cheers for that.

A very special voice,in perfect tune harmony and sustaining those higher notes not something you hear much from rock singers has such a range think i read somewhere that the range he has is the same level as michael jackson.Wish he did more stuff like this on his own as over the years been doing all the roses songs with slash, you don't hear singers who are that good live it's such a rariety that's why it;s so addictive.I found the same with amy winehouse when i trawled through a load of her gigs on utube she had that same effortless range that very few can do never mind live, moviong stuff the pair of them..
