God intended men to have long hair when he created humans. Why do you think the hair keeps growing? Of course he did however gift hair ties to mankind for exclusive usage by women. Men using them is an abomination and I'm pretty sure it was originally written down as one of the deadly sins. One that was sadly lost somewhere in time.
