Yeah still on the bright side tbf I don't think the lad wants to do this kind of work so will help him to decide to pursue an office job

Not the kid's fault. It's the way he's been brought up.

Look to his parents. look to his school teachers. Look to Liberalism.

The old saying goes ''Rags to rags in three generations.''

The first generation in a family makes money (goes from rags to riches); the second generation holds or keeps the money; and the third generation squanders or loses the money (and so goes back to rags).

In the example here, if the kid in question is of the second generation it seems likely that he will accelerate the process somewhat.

Give him the wifi code and ask him to google "How to carry bricks".

Mate of mine holds quite a senior position for a large UK builder.  In recent weeks they have been recruiting.

Of the three people to be offered interviews, not one of them actually made it out of their cars in the car park to attend said interview (two just failed to rock up altogether and let no-one know, and the other bottled it in the car park)....

Sure as hell, something's wrong!

work with 25 to 30 yr olds mam, dad drop,m off, make their hospital, dentist etc appointments etc,
biggest bugbear is you see the older generation 45,to 65 carrying their huge tool bags tools they've bought, aquired over the years, whilst young people don't have enough tools to fill their pockets and chances of spending any money on tools is zilch

Bodes well for children whose parents have brought them up properly.

The competition for jobs from other kids is nothing to worry about.

As someone who took two spare t shirts to work, through sweating my ballz off...
i applaud this young man. Use your brain son. Forget hard work.
they do a lot of hard work in Africa. Saw a documentary, the women carry large
wicker baskets fill them with coal. On the head with it and walk miles back
to the village. Sometimes they pass out? This working hard BS is Calvanist work Ethic
brainwashing.
On the opposite end of the scale - I saw a twelve year old who's a millionaire after selling
some computer wizardry. WTF.
