The cost of sports rights has spiralled in recent years with Sky paying £4.2bn in its latest Premier League TV deal – 83% more than the previous deal and almost £11m per game – while viewing has dropped significantly.

But is it overkill like snooker etc in previous years
Maybe im getting old but i used to look forward to certain events on tele never miss a game etc.But now with so much sport on you often can't be bothered it has become not important. |

If you google you will find an article written about it in the Guardian, and Mirror I think.
If it happens it will be a change of policy. It will make things interesting. Whatever, it is, it should be better than the current system. |

Haven't delved into the detail, but at first glance it looks like you choose Football 1 OR football 2 OR cricket OR golf etc. etc.
So if you want ALL sports, you'll end up paying for each channel? |

I'd guess the charge per sport would be less after the first, so that it would be less than the current cost.

Cancelled my Virgin TV package(including sky sports) about a month ago. Don't miss it at all. Watched the Lions match and England U21's on Cricfree without any problems.
