There aren't many crimes where the suspects are either the North Korean government or an aspergic kid in his bedroom.
You really would think in this day and age, that they could be traced right down to their darkened bedroom in a heartbeat, but it doesn't happen does it ?
And surely the transactions can be traced from those who paid ?

Indeed - They would soon switch off their computers if a few SAS, or Mossad, barged into their rooms.
destroy bitcoin - it allows kidnappers to not turn up for the ransom money.
