£1 Billion sounds a lot - until you realise that is the amount we as a country give away EVERY MONTH to foreign aid.

I the past few weeks there has been intense heat in London leading to mention of a drought. I am eagerly awaiting donations from Bangla Desh and Somalia towards the Drought fund in the UK and some aid from these countries towards the newly homeless in the Kensington area. Oh I forgot. It's always one way traffic. What makes it worse is that the foreign aid provided by the UK could improve the NHS no end if it was re directed that way. But of course charity begins anywhere but home!

Why should Wales, Scotland and the English regions not get the same amount as Northern Ireland

What they never told the DUP is that the Government intent to splash the cash a bit - they would have got the money anyway.

I cant see what the difference between this and when Jeremy Corbyn was bribing the elector prior to an election just recently.

Engerlund is getting £60 billion for HS2. Really Northern Ireland should have been bunged another £1 billion for infrastucture to make up for this.

60 Billion? What an apalling waste of money.

I foresee a massive increase in votes for the North East Party and the Yorkshire Party at the next General Election. The notion that they can negotiate some extra regional cash if the parliament is hung will be a tempter to the voters.
All hand outs have consequences.

Yorkshire is benefiting from HS2, they can't be asking for more cash on top of that

We should have the DUP to negotiate BREXIT.

The DUP had no bargaining position.  The alternative for them was as bad as for the Tories, if not worse!

Although Northern Ieland got cash hand outs from the EU and they voted to remain.  So it is proably only fair.  Wales got money too, but bless their hearts, they voted for BREXIT, so they voted to kiss goodbye to the hand outs.

If wee Nicola had understood politics as well as the DUP the SNP could have done Scotland a fabulous deal recently.
