I liked to watch RT as you got a different slant. It's 50 percent Pravda and 50 percent
entertainment with more leggy girls.
But they began to use political pundits. Guys with webcams who would pop up
and give opinions on serious issues.
You probably seen the guy talking and his kid comes in the background and her mother
grabs her and pulls her out of the room.
There is a raft of these experts? It started in RT, I've noticed the same faces who were
main stays on RT appear recently on Sky and the BBC? poached talent.
It's lazy news. a filler. Getting a so called expert to comment on a situation.
years ago there was a group who pretended to be experts as part of de bunking the news.
We really are on shaky ground when anyone can appear on tv with a casual reference.

Cost innit. In order of cheapness:

1) send camera crew to expert
2) pay expert's cab fare and expenses to come to the studio
3) talk to expert over Skype or whatever it's called now

So now talking to experts is more-or-less free, and also saves the production team having to understand the issue themselves.

And now the experts are 75% women

And yet they still think they are under represented
Have enough of that with the old girls opinion at home
let alone the channels as well

Another piece of nonsense is bad digital camera footage.

Some reporter in a warzone and his report is squawking out and breaking up?

it takes two minutes with a £50 camera to record a report and send it by email?

it's theatre, to not get this right. It's like a drop the dead donkey report.
