For Ignacio Echevarria. Who, you all ask?

He’s a Spaniard who did his duty for England.
He didn’t run away from a burning fridge that took the lives of 79 people.
He was on his way back from skateboarding when he spotted a terrorist stabbing a woman.
He jumped off his bike and whacked the jihadist extremist barsteward with his skateboard, giving others the chance to run.

Sadly he never knew there was another terrorist, who stabbed him in the back and killed him.
Ignacio’s sister, who also lives in London, didn’t know what had happened and went looking for him.
When she couldn’t locate him she went to n she was told for FOUR DAYS ‘We don’t know yet.’

If she had been given the opportunity she could have identified him almost immediately. There were seven corpses, and it would have taken less than a minute to pull the sheets back and pick him out.
The authorities said they would not release the body for six days.
This started a culture clash: not that anybody cared as he wasn’t an  worshipper, of the religion of pieces, he was of course a Christian.  In Spain bodies are buried much faster than in the UK.
The Spanish public weren't happy, and on Saturday the UK released his body.
Such was the feeling that the Spanish PM, Mariano Rajoy, was there to receive it at the air force base near Madrid.

It was pleasing that a visitor to these shores gave his life to uphold the law of our land, but the ’official‘ response wasn’t right.  His job in the England was at HSBC, checking the banks contracts to make sure its money wasn’t finding its way to terrorists.

According to some he clashed at times with his bosses because he was diligent and rigorous in his work
In life, as in death, he was this country’s friend.
He should have a posthumous honour.

Well said, a hero. I doubt there will be public outrage over the treatment of his family, if any mention at all.

I didn't know about this. Sickening! All this pandering to a particular religion is despicable, it has to stop.
