May will be gone before the next GE which rules out Davidson as party leader because she cannot become PM. You can lay that 10-1 with confidence. Whatever happens at least one other person will be leader before Ruth.

I've got more chance of winning an election that David davies..
Report Torquemada • June 25, 2017 2:11 AM BST
If it "next PM" market you can lay that as well. The same thing applies - at least one other person must be PM before Ruth. The only way for Ruth Davidson to be the next PM is for Theresa May to hang on all the way to the next GE and then suddenly resign just before the vote - none of which is remotely plausible.
Report anxious • June 25, 2017 2:12 AM BST
Jeremy at 3-1 Cool
Report Torquemada • June 25, 2017 2:16 AM BST
You should lay Corbyn at that price, too, for the simple reason it is highly probable there will be another Tory PM before he even gets another chance.
Report thegiggilo • June 25, 2017 2:19 AM BST
The torys have a terrible bunch to choose from, all vote losers so they have to stay out the term the list of problems and the state the countrys in are endless and things are going to get worse yet.Even so i still wouldn't back corbyn to be PM  probably too old in 2/3 years, then that leaves the ones on the front bench that look as bad as the torys all vote losers. There is one major player for me but until labour get the shadow cabinet sorted out i can see minoritys governments going on and on for a long time Dan jarvis is the big game changer but he hasn't even been given a post in sgadow cabinet big mistake..

I just saw JC at Glastonbury on the news.
I'm sorry but there is just something very wrong with entertainment becoming politicised.
I gather the crowd is more likely made up of large numbers of anarchists, but can't they take a day off from preaching?

Report Torquemada • June 25, 2017 2:25 AM BST
It will be somebody who the majority of the MPs can accept. My opinion is that it will be Davis or a young outsider we haven't even considered. Rudd would have been in the frame but her precarious constituency majority rules her out.

Report Torquemada • June 25, 2017 2:28 AM BST
What we can all agree on is that May will not contest another GE. Unlike the Labour Party, the Conservatives will not suffer fools for long.
Report anxious • June 25, 2017 2:32 AM BST
Talk seriously do you not agree now that whoever is tory leader Austerity is now finished and Brexit and Austerity are the only 2 games in town
Report Torquemada • June 25, 2017 2:35 AM BST
Speaking of Norman Tebbit, I am surprised not to have ever heard him comment on John McDonnell's past support of the IRA. Perhaps he has spoken out and I've missed it, but he must surely hold extremely strong views on the matter.
Report Torquemada • June 25, 2017 2:38 AM BST
We have never suffered any kind of austerity under any government in my lifetime. Austerity is something the country desperately needs but nobody has the guts to implement.
Report anxious • June 25, 2017 2:41 AM BST
Really this is exactly why Labour did so well , even most tories have heard the message no more austerity , what about the real criminals the banks and the square mile escaping scott free from the carnage they and their mates created
Report Torquemada • June 25, 2017 2:41 AM BST

Report dustybin • June 25, 2017 2:44 AM BST
Exactly anxious, a music festival.
It's as though there arnt enough hours in the day for politicians to seep into the psyche of the electorate.
I wouldn't mind but ppl tend to forget that they are never happy and politics is cyclic for a reason and that is that power is inevitably toxic.
What will brand Glastonbury do if JC got in?
We all know it will ultimately fail....don't we?

Report Torquemada • June 25, 2017 2:46 AM BST
Punish as many bankers as you like if they broke the rules, I don't have a problem with punishing people. But don't tell me the country has suffered any real austerity because it is not true. Austerity has just become a word people use to excuse their own failings.
Report anxious • June 25, 2017 2:46 AM BST

Report dustybin • June 25, 2017 2:50 AM BST
Every ideology has its foibles.

Just let the ppl get off their face without attempting to manipulate them.
Report anxious • June 25, 2017 2:51 AM BST
Right talk even the Prime Minister and the Chancellor have acknowledged that Austerity as to stop , if you dont believe them who do believe ?
Report Torquemada • June 25, 2017 2:51 AM BST
All the things you mention have not suffered from austerity at all, they have had more money invested in them continually year on year and will continue to do so. The real problem is over population, a problem that is ignored by all politicians it seems. Ask yourself your own question, Anxious, are YOU so blind and bitter that you cannot see the truth.

Tory MP Philip Hollobone said: “The BBC is riddled with Left-wing bias from the Today programme downwards.

“They will seize any opportunity to get Theresa May out. Jeremy Corbyn at Glastonbury is a typical example of their behaviour… the BBC is out of control.”

Andrew Bridgen, another Tory MP, added: “The BBC will do everything they can to get their hero Jeremy Corbyn into Downing Street. Now with things like this year’s Glastonbury, it’s becoming ever more blatant.

“They are at the stage where if the BBC give it one more push, we will end up with a Marxist in No 10."

Quietly ignoring the furore over Alastair Campbell and Andrew Gilligan that eventually led to the death of David Kelly, still a very dubious suicide.Even Greg ****,a confirmed labour luvvie, developed a distaste for Labour during all that. The BBC is out of control and the cosnervatives have to stop treating the BBC with kid gloves and reduce the licence fee to enforce more rigorous management.A tax cut we could all encourage.
