It sickens me. Only a few days ago the police were putting their own lives at risk to save people. Now they have to deal with this aggressive rabble.

It's madness. Actually, it's not madness probably, it's just sheer devilment and deliberate troublemaking.

Ten years from now these people will look back and be totally ashamed by their actions.

I hate it when war memorials and statues are desecrated, they have no respect for anything or anyone.

Similar to the Brexit response from the same bunch.

Democratic result of an election rejected. Let's riot.

They should be heartened that Jezza strenghtened his position as leader of the oppo, May's been humbled (but still PM) and compromises will have to be made.

Unfortunately they're so damn thick they can't see it like that. Instead they burden the long suffering Old Bill and London public with a shameless protest.

How Plod kept his calm I'll never know. Words can't describe my admiration for them in that heat, with all that gear on and with those boneheads in their faces..

In a democracy it should be illegal to stage a march such as this.

The police should take the names of a select few at random and send them to court to receive a criminal conviction.

Anxious writing "I have not asked him where he lives" is a barefaced lie. I posted that I live on Oldham Road because Anxious asked me "where do you live in Manchester" and I naively told him "Oldham Road" not realising that this information would be used in an attempt to illicit further personal details and countless veiled threats about my age and where I live, as noticed on this thread and by other people.

No i asked you the other week because i am from Manchester too , so what is so sinister about this , i am not intersted  in where you live why would i be , its you who comes on here slagging off the Labour party so when you are asked and questioned about this you run off and start screaming , i note when others join in with your tirade against Labour you are quite happy , like i said the other week do not excpect everybody to agree with the garbage you post , and please stop telling lies about me and accusing me of things that do not exsist in reality

King please make sure your doors and windows are locked and bolted before you go to bed tonight(I know it's hot, but better to be safe than sorry) and is there any chance a burly relative can stay with you tonight, or alternatively you stay with them ?

Seconded, anxious and myself can disagree without it getting personal, he's a good egg. Happy

I remember Anxious asking KL where he lived in Manchester and was surprised that KL posted the name of the road on this forum. The conversation was about voting intentions and I understood from the question that Anxious only wanted to know which ward or district he was voting in. No harm in that.

No harm in the original question maybe, it was all the stuff that came after it that was out of order. As far as I'm concerned he is not a good egg as someone said, he as offered me nothing but personal attacks, snide comments and veiled threats. And why? Did I verbally abuse him? No. Was U rude? No. It's purely because I don't happen to share his views about Corbyn and McDonnell that's all. It seems to me Anxious just wants to shout down anybody who holds a different opinion, and if that doesn't work he gets nasty.
By:

I hope he will leave you alone now, KL. I agree with your views about Corbyn and McDonnell and you have every right to change your political allegiance without criticism. It's at the heart of democracy.

Thank you Foinavon. I wish more people on here were polite like your good self, or at the very least civil in disagreement. All the personal stuff chased me away from here last time, it just gets wearisome and boring.

When: 22 Jun 17 00:40
In fairness it was also because I couldn't see the damned writing anymore due to failing eyesight, I had to type in capitals just to be able to make it out sometimes and brought a whole load of abuse down on me in itself! Happy

My new fangled screen is massive now, that's what encouraged me to come back on.
