Finally grew a pair. His brother and sister both faced unrelated assault/battery charges too.
battery can be anything from a slight touch to shoving someone over
Disorderly conduct, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, resisting arrest, wanton malicious defacement, misdemeanor breaking and entering... and that's just the sister over one incident! The brother faced indecent assault charges. But, as you suggest, might just have been a 'slight touch.'
