Just listening to Rise up like the Sun by The Albion Band, some interesting songs and plenty of guest
appearances from a few famous names .Poor Old Horse is arguably the best track on the Album.
Do I recognize this track from The Detectorists?

Have seen the Albion Band a few times, seems to be more a collective of good musicians, many famous names.

I'll throw a couple of albums out there, both by short lived bands that desrved more attention, but classic albums all the same, the first I had blasting out, chav style, in the motor today.

Quatermass - Quatermass

This track is Gemini

Sopwith Camel - The Miraculous Hump Returns From The Moon

The classic track, Fazon

The only music I constantly go back to is from the 60s and early 70s.
Mainly the Beatles and the Stones. Sgt Pepper the best of them.

Kontiki by Cotton Mather

Singer sounds like a resurrected Lennon. Guitar power pop. Think an absolute top of their game Crowded House who had been listening to mid-period Beatles solid for months but got Butch Vig or Steve Albini in to produce.

20 years old now. This album really should have been massive.
