I have just spoken to Betfair about this, but as so often happens the person who replied did not know and I couldn't speak to someone who did because they were not 'customer facing'.  I insisted she speak to them and then came back with a vague answer to which I asked her to check again.  She says they do not suspend the election markets, but I think I trust chit chat more!

This reminded me of all the times I rang betfair when I was betting on horses and playing poker on here, nightmare Sad

Win Only Market

MARKET INFORMATION
For further information please see Rules & Regs.
What percentage of the registered vote will the named party receive in the UK as a whole, at the next UK general election?
This market will be turned in-play at the start of voting on the day of the election. Thereafter, the market will not be actively managed and customers are solely responsible for their positions.

Unfortunately, Hamsterdam, I do not have a television.  Most of the time I do not regret not having one but today I am really going to miss it Sad  I will have to rely on the bbc website and chit chat!

They don't as others say.  And during certain events I'm sure people at the counts bet on them, bye elections etc. They swing before the journalists know anything.

My markets are going bananas, all good but still I would trade it in for a strong conservative victory any day.

This one is a difficult one as there isn';t one count so no one person has the big picture really to push the market.

On brexit it was all over the place and what with the exit poll being remain, I managed to get a tidy profit by gettign leave at high odds :)

Should have made a lot more Brexit but got drunk and couldn't remember red/green significance. Still feel Cons will have overall majority. But if they get rid of May, definite plus.

I know I can watch tv on my computer but unfortunately I am honest and I have not got a tv license which you need to watch live any channel.

You really are computer illiterate.  But not dishonest. That's good - if data-starved.

Look - most students - that is the most heavily-bribed part of the electorate - live in cities, so the early results will favour them. The oldies - like a stifling wave of incontinence pads and statins will eventually crush the life out of them. Hey, I'm going to put another few hundred on.  Why not? If Corbyn wins, our money is worthless.

TBH the election coverage after a bit is just going over and over the same rubbish and politicians talking rubbish until you get that big rush of results that's the good bit :)

I don't need to - I have more channels than I know what do with. if I needed one I would hunt it down - but I don't have the time. The chit-chat underground have been told of your problem - they will **** a solution, one way or another.

Re license fee, apparently soon iPlayer is going to have a mandatory signup that asks for postcode.

God knows if that'll work with my ageing smart tv. I don't like that.

They'll see me always pausing the videos of Theresa May when she looks like a young Marilyn Monroe LoveWinkLaughLaugh
