The candidate can't win here but it's a symbolic two digits to Farron, Corbyn, Abbott and McDonnell. (especially McDonnell).

I feel sorry for clever clogs Labour voters having to live in Tory dominated neighbourhoods.
They are missing out on the cultural enrichment they so crave. Perhaps they might spend their holidays this year refreshing themselves in my constituency. I could recommend a nice hotel in Small Heath, not far from the railway station and a most impressive Mosque.

How can anyone vote for a party with DA as a member is beyond me.
Report bodil • June 8, 2017 9:50 PM BST
May is the least worst option. Sadly the local MP is Alan Duncan, sorry, Sir Alan Duncan. He sometimes appears in Stamford with his (fashionable) Brazilian boyfriend. He built himself an Orangerie on expenses. Smarmy git. However, with the neo-Marxists about to park their tanks on the lawn, I swallowed my pride and voted Con.

Don't believe it - but if it's close to the truth - great news. Dump grey May, get Boris, and a comfortable majority in September's election. Everyone loves a comedian!
Report bodil • June 8, 2017 10:32 PM BST
Well, who would have thought it? Bribe the young with tens of thousands and they will vote for you. Pity there will be no tax base left to pay them, let alone for the current program.  Actually I've been missing the 1970's - we old ones know how to survive with no services - once the power goes off the interconnected young will go catatonic. We'll have to stack their bodies - rigidly clutching mobile phones - in football stadia. Soylent red?

May is distinctly average but was by some way the least worst option. Her record as home secretary was poor - did nothing meaningful about immigration, illegal or otherwise.  I've an ex who used to work for the Border Force. However bad you think it is, you have no idea. I've always thought it odd that immigrants should make up an unusually large proportion of the civil servants dealing with immigration (including the legal side). Policing, security and prisons in no way improved during her tenure. She was a (very quiet) remainer but she might do a competent job on Brexit. If that looks like going tits-up, the electorate will have their revenge and whatever emerges from the ashes of UKIP (they are too compromised now) will gain substantial ground. She's a long way short of being another Thatcher(both good and bad).

Composed that earlier, pretty sure now she will be dumped, Boris in, decent majority - and Bob's your Uncle - or Auntie if gender-fluid.
Report crystalhunt • June 9, 2017 10:12 AM BST
