We live in uncertain, often-frightening times.
Thanks to political turmoil, looming environmental calamity and the spectre of terrorism, the average episode of the Six O'Clock News is now harder on one's nerves than a gallon of rocket fuel coffee.
And yet, even in these doom-laden times, there remain causes for hope - flickers of light in the darkness, events that carry the suggestion that good things, great things, continue to happen and, no matter what obstacles we face, the human race as a whole is going to be A-OK.
The world's first drive-through Greggs is now open.

Especially pork pies.

Pork pies WILL save us. Leave the pie in the open until it is rock hard, Drill a couple of holes in it and thread some string through the holes. Wear the pie around your neck as a medallion. This will keep any Jihadist chancers away from you. No charge for this life saving tip! I am currently wearing a pack of streaky bacon over my breast pocket on full show to any followers of the Religion of Peas!
