Why should we hold any credence to a poll conducted by the lead singer of the Verve. His guess is no better than anyone elses!

Ashcroft is a shrewd bloke and I would fancy his exit polls to be accurate enough to guarantee a majority if he is saying a landslide. A useful margin for error within that !

it's all guesswork based on turnout demographics.

This election is reminding me more and more of an episode of the Apprentice where we've seen the teams doing the task and they both look useless but we don't know which one sold the most stuff.

Ashcroft is a tory? might it be biased.

He's been investigated By Panorama for wielding the black arts.
He's corruption manifest. Half hour documentary on youtube.

I wouldn't mind an open immigration policy if they all looked like Redita Kerlyte's Jack Hackshaw.

bloke who does Survation was pretty much spot on with his polls

he was on the Daily Politics the other day (with some woman from another polling company). she took the piss out of him.

would very much like to see the smarm wiped off her face when they're invited back (as they were at the end of the piece)

check it out (polls bit starts at 46:20)

This would be the same right wing polls that had under estimated the Tory margin by an average of approx. 4% over the previous 9 elections?

Survation (and YG) put their neck on the line and came up trumps so well played to them.  You may not know this but Damian, (from Survation), started off by doing polls on Big Brother, partly at least to profit from said polls by betting on BB markets on here.  He used to post as DamianinLondon and charliebigpotatoes on here.

A poll predicting a landslide can backfire.  People think they don't need to vote and others don't like the idea of one party having a large majority so become motivated to vote.

its funny that people mocked reality tv but it does link in nicely with politics from time to time

well done to those that got their polling correct

This was manipulative, Tory's win by landslide? people like to
be on the winning side so it could pull more people to their
side. Electioneering the day before the election.

Tv show Runaround, a multiple answer question would be asked,
kids would run to different circles and if they did not know
the answer they'd jump onto the majority clustered together.
Frequently they all got it wrong. Majority rule.
