Welsh guards returning to the Falklands, terribly sad how it affected these poor lads. A war that lasted weeks stayed with them for a lifetime. I wish them well and thank you.

As for your second question sadly most of those who gave their lives would of been in their twenties, that's Ho it works most armies in the world find young fit men make the best soliders Plain

Be good to get kennybhoys take on this given his normal lack of facts when debating.
Dan peep like Kenny think it's great to call them the Malvinas.
My bet is he knows nowt about them except for that.

Can't understand how people who live in this country seem to hate it Plain

Neither can I dan. they always seem to be looking for an excuse to have a go.
They also forget that Argentina were the aggressors in this conflict.

just think we could just hand them over to the argies just like that
and no more trouble

in fact I think we should start this process at home

hand it all over to the eu and herr merkel can run the place

along with our friends from Bradford and east london

problem solved
you heard it here first

If that's the case anxious why were so many people in this country on the side of Argentina in this conflict?
By:

Aka i can remember the Falklands and i dont think there was many people who were on Argentinas side , no nobody wanted any of our armed forces to lose their life in the conflict, surely more to the point was it not true that the British goverments both Labour/Tory in the years before were willing and encouraged Argentina to claim the Falklands

It could have been avoided. The politics were wrong and showed us as hesitant.
The year before we sent out stuff when they were sabre rattling but the next year there was only
the supply ship  around

No one seems to ever relate to this  - why is it never allowed out in the media>??

Average age of Argentinian fatalities 17..British fatalities 21...Brave young men brutally exploited by their
power crazed leaders...

Plenty on here side with Argentina.
As regards the conflict then that was inevitable one the argies invaded.

sorry chaps
it goes far deeper than that

talk about taking your eye off the ball doesn't even cover it

at the time we slammed it but it was all 'GOTCHA'  and all that and too late and

irrelevant to point it out as by then you would be labelled as a traitor
By:

When: 06 Jun 17 23:13
it was a total **** up

and then we sent out a totally insufficient force

when I joined we had 8 carriers

just look at what we had ready at the falklands

stuff was destined for reserve or scrapyard  etc

you only have to the 'wise after the event ' right now on Sky   they are so fkn clever now  with all the evidence of how bad muslim radicals are but it IS ALL TOO LATE  - I really cannot stomach the tv news media  who are so wise after the event but have rubbished any criticism of islam, muslims, the culture etc etc

4 years old, wonder how much she knew of the dangers. Nowt would be my guess.

His son is a bit of a tw4t too and unfortuantely one of the options on my ballot paper. I think he may have taken his constituency for granted. There's a lot of Labour billboards around here - way more than the number for Benedict Gummer (he shortens it to 'Ben' to be cool with the kids!). I know boards in gardens aren't the greatest indicator, but I seem to remember seeing a lot more board for Leave than Remain last year, so I tend to believe what I see, rather than what I hear.

The Argentinians as they like to call themselves are not even entitled to live in Argentina as they like to call their country.Rateros. Land stolen from others. Not many black Argentinians for a former slave colony.Wonder what happened to them.Black lives matter and so do Amerindians.
