3 bottles are £5.25 in Tesco.  Buy loads, drink the beer, sell the empty bottles on eBay to home brewers at around £1 a bottle.  They will collect.

So, 450ml bottle of Grolsch = 75p.

Thank me later.

Just about to do this with "Barbar Bok" 330ml bottles....

Will have 36 empties, in a couple of days, and I was thinking of 0.65p per bottle

This btw, is a fabulous beer, brewed with honey and is 8.5% ABV.

I'm getting it at £2.36 per bottle (including delivery) direct from Belgium

One UK seller wants £3.58 and plus £6.95 delivery...and in regular bottles!

If anything Jack, the biggest complaint I see about the Grainfather is it's over efficiency. If you plan for a 5% brew you'll get a 6% one. You should join one of the many forums specifically for a GF. Tell us how you get on in the brewing thread btw.

I've around 100 pints to consume mostly stored in 2L Pepsi Bottles Excited My new boiler is now producing my clearest beer to date.

No more brewing from me for a while.

Will try and keep this thread going, Ovalman.

Glad to hear about your new boiler.

The online community was defo one of the pluses for getting a GF.

...and diluted Bleach is 28p for a 2 ltr bottle...tough choice.

That makes it 50p a pint, Clouseau!

My only concern is that Chit Chatters may soon be flooding the used Grolsch bottle market on eBay, causing a dramatic fall in price.

I suggest a pledge of secrecy amongst us.

Rather drink my own piddle than Grolsh and the same applies to Oranjeboom ( they knock this muck out at Essex County Cricket ground)
