It wasn't 'broken' but the dozy T**T decided to fix it. unreal!!, might still win with a reduced majority??? will the SNP cosy up to Labour?, I just can't call this one. Best thing she can do is shut up for the remainder.

More's the pity Nigel packed it in..reckon with a decent leader UKIP would have performed well. Not a lot to beat tbh
|
|
By:
Sadly Nigel could take no more of the death threats to him and his family from left wing thugs.
No prizes for guessing who such thugs will be voting for next week. |

Bless the little right wing snowflakes here.

That coming from a Labour supporter. |

Of Course Chairman Mayo is right wing , to think that some people doubt it shows how far the foriegn owned bilionaire right wing press in this country have shifted the political agenda in this country over the last 30 years, it was only a few years back when they called the likes of Roy hattersely a raving leftie

Corbyn's calmness under pressure has to be admired, even managed to bend out of shape the usually placid Sophy Ridge, looked liked man against child.
You can sense the momentum that Labour are gaining. |

By:
Like I say it's a completion to see who takes charge of a rudderless ship...
|
|
By:
Do you know what, a horrible thought has begun to enter my mind over the last week that May is looking to lose. So many classic campaign blunders virtually every day. And in the first comment on here 'she has been exposed as a lightweight'. Completely agree with that, I think basically she knows she is unsuited to being Prime Minister !

Got a few days to save herself.
Will still win as loads won't vote Labour whilst Corbyn is in charge. But, unless the victory is decisive, the knives will be out for her. |

By:
Make no mistake - Labour are still unelectable.

Now doing another u - turn, this time on promises to build affordable housing for rent.

Fallon says no tax rises for high earners , Chairman Mayo refuses to rule out tax rises , U-turns and chaos that's the Tory shambles
|
|
By:
Every day that passes by it's quite clear that May is totally out of her depth whilst Corbyn continues to defy what most people expected by becoming more confident and at ease. Instead of the landslide i expected it could be reasonably close. However, we all know than the right wing press are going to go absolutely full steam over the next few days to scare people into not voting for Corbyn. They will make enough difference with the gullible for May to still get a majority and probably a bigger one than she has now. Unfortunately our press still have that power. I'm not a Corbyn supporter but anyone with an open mind watching the run up to this election can only be shocked by the difference in ability between him and May. What a remarkable shambles she has been.

By:
I agree with you, asparagus. The reason I will not vote for his party is because his faults are more dangerous than May's
1) Making known to potential enemies that our nuclear deterrent would not be used even in retaliation for a nuclear strike is dangerous folly. 2) His economic policies would make Hugo Chavez blush were he still alive. 3) His proposed cabinet colleagues are worse than May's in my opinion. |
|
By:
if we get attacked then out deterrent has not deterred !
|
|
By:
Precisely. It will only deter if the enemy thinks we would use it in retaliation.
By telling them in advance that we wouldn't use it negates it as a deterrent and increases the likelihood that we would be attacked. The deterrent is working all the time, Corbyn would turn it off. |
|
By:
no
if we are attacked our deterrent has not deterred |
|
By:
why do posts take so long to appear on this thread ?
|
|
By:
It is not a deterrent if the potential aggressor knows it won't be used against him.
In that case, our deterrent is limited to our conventional forces and the hope that our allies would intervene. |
|
By:
there is more than one button if we are attacked
if we are attacked the deterrent has not deterred |

I'm having the same problem Donny.

I reckon some Ukrainians wish they had kept theirs.
I wonder what Screaming beneath the waves thinks? |
|
By:
He didn't say he absolutely wouldn't but clearly he is extremely uncomfortable saying that he would so he refuses to answer. I tend to agree with his overall stance. I don't think he has a very good team and I also agree that overall the economy would do better under the Tories. However, the working class despite an overall weaker economy would still probably be better off under Labour as the distribution of wealth won't be as wide. Also, May has proved so incompetent thus far that you have to worry considerably about the road she will take us down. Whilst economists hate hung parliaments it might be healthier than letting May go full speed ahead.
