I respect Stephen Hawking's views on black holes, string theory and the multiverse, however he's an academic dependent on the state for his income, who hasn't lived much in the real world.
Goldie??? Who the fox hat? |

Will you be taking your voting cues from him?

That's for Dusty^
No kidding chaser, I imagined it was a woman with a name like that. I'm from a different generation to yourself and my interest in pop music ended with Eddie Cochran. |

Ill be voting Corbyn irrespective of what others do.
You have to give society a chance before you write em off for good. Ive always said if theres anything about you you will survive whoever is in power, if Labour wreck the economy (again) me and the cockroaches will be left....but at least the tory nobs will be p1ssed off. |
|
By:
Labour have no chance unless they get Scotland votes
|
|
By:
i expect low turnout in Scotland no one is bothered about it from what ive seen.
|
|
By:
I think they will HAVE p1ssed off, dusty, taking their loot with them. Unfortunately, I cannot do the same.

People work less for others than they do for themselves, each generation have the chance at some point to put greed aside and vote for the one that isnt exactly a corporate man.
This is that chance. Im also a nihilist so it works both ways |
|
By:
I live in a constituency where labour has no chance, but I was still gobsmacked by the teenager (well he looked like one) they have put up for election. How on earth can someone so young know anything about anything? I noticed in another constituency that again labour have put up someone who looks like he is just out of nappies!

I doubt that a Corbyn government would be able to raise the capital to put his manifesto commitments in place for more than a few months. If you want an inflationary bubble and a run on the pound then by all means vote for him.

I couldnt careless what happens, like I said I believe its a moral issue and a slight against the ponces.
Let it end in ruin, the Cynic philosophers have already warned against living a life without humility. There will be swathes that die before I do either way. |

I take it you have read "Animal Farm".
|
|
By:
A long time ago.
I was always more a fan of Wells tbh, the perception that humans are farmed by other humans. Deogenies was both virtuous and a complete degenerate all at the same time. It is possible to believe you can act out a moralistic belief while not expecting much of the human race. We are all born into bondage shaped by the ones who came before, we are brainwashed into believeing this is democracy and that it trumps all other concepts, while all the time there are humans at the end and therefore fallible. You have to fight your own fight its true and expect nothing from anyone, you cant beat the system but you can give it a bloody nose now and then. |

I'm done with fighting, Dusty, although I will take a playful pop at the insanity of religion occasionally.
With politics, you can't change anything with a single vote, you have to get involved and join a motley crew. |

The Brexiteers cudnt win
Trump cudnt win Corbyn cudnt win........... hence the manifesto spouted up by someone that thinks shes on the road to a landslide victory (clearly not) She may still win and look after the few whilst stitching up the young the old the disabled and the sick but it cud well get interesting next week that's for sure ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I am a broken record. I cannot wait to see the result coz I want to see what the backstabbing creeps in the party say when corby gets lots of votes (more than milliband) - don't forget - they think he is totally unelectable!!!
|
|
By:
sums up the state of politics though when TM has a massive 25point lead over a totally unelectable opponent and its disappeared almost wiv a week to go .
I'm not a Corbyn fan by any means cos every politician whatever their allegiance has an agenda and they cant hide behind what they voted for - both him and TM voted remain after all but this election was only called for one reason -and that wasn't for the best interests of Britain no matter how they try to package it and maybe....just maybe like they did with the brexit vote last June the general public wake up and stick another 2 fingers upto these clowns #justsayinglike |
