Looks like Theresa May had excellent judgement in giving this fiasco a miss, it's a total shambles where all of them are coming across as squabbling children. Typical BBC to claim that the audience have been vetted for fair balance, because they are clearly nearly all left leaning Remainers. Either the BBC is lying or the audience did when they applied.

Nuttall the only one brave enough to name Islam. Shouted down by Jezza and the rest.
What a bunch of total reprobates.
Robertson.Scandalous comparison of Manchester with Jo Cox.Nuttall the only one brave enough to name Islam. Shouted down by Jezza and the rest. What a bunch of total reprobates.
I can see complaints (again) about it obviously being a left wing audience, and the bbc will say it wasn't, and nothing will change.
I read that in the US debates the audience have to sit on their hands? Can't happen here quick enough, shut the mass of Socialist Workers up.

How does that work. overall - tory vote 45 labour 35 etc etc etc roughly ok
and yet the audience is totally at variance with my above figure.
Clearly my hearing is faulty.

That was the most embarrassing debate I've ever seen. It looks like the Prime Minister had very good judgement in giving this a miss. I won't be voting for her party, but she showed more sense tonight that the rest.

I see no value in all these points scoring/losing debates.
The manifestos are all there for peopel to read.
May's sensible to avoid this immature playground guff.

MONEY TREE? tory said labour's budget was uncosted
Tory's came in - with Liberals with national debt at 750 billion
it's now £1.73 trillion.
they have added a trillion in under seven years.

It wasn't a left-wing audience. The Tories had nothing to cheer or applaud. It didn't even work when they had wealthy stooge and friend to Tory MP's Maneet Kapoor (look him up) asking a question of Corbyn in the Paxman programme, in the guise of a small business owner.
The Greens/Plaid Cymru irrelevant, Ukip relevant
How DARE these opposition bar stewards object to the things you want!!!!
We all see what we want to see, except most of you didn't see what you wanted to see, so it's a ****, false, put-up job. If the BBC, press and all other media is so left wing (which it isn't - except the guardian and Mirror), then how come the Tories got in, the last twice and brexit won?
Do any of you want to defend the Naylor report (May's so keen on)? (look it up)

No I'm not twizzle - There is not a single major journalist or reporter at the BBC isn't some way associated with the Conservative party. Every time you don't see a "righty" love-in, or Corbyn being badgered, it's "The BBC is biased and left-wing" Name a left-wing broadcaster for the BBC. Paxman, Andrew Neil, Nick Robertson, Laura Keunssberg, Emma Barnett (radio), Evan Davies ALL Conservative.... Pienaar used to work for the Guardian but even his current allegiances are shaky. All of them overseen by George Osbourne's close personal mate James Paul Harding - Director of BBC News.
The Blair (not left wing) govt advisors at the top of the BBC were an the payroll 20 years ago as advisors, but were not reporters.
In the mid 1960's it was declared - deliberately erroneously - that the BBC has Left-wing leanings and it has stuck ever since. It is also utilised as a means to get the real agenda across.
The fact is, whether you like it or not. The Tories have nothing to say except the "May is better than Corbyn" line they chose to fight an election with and it's failing.

The bias of that audience wasn't even thinly veiled, it was clearly very very left leaning. Not to accept that is to be in utter denial of the facts. The real issue was the embarrassing spectacle of the whole thing, everybody watching must surely compared it to kids squabbling in a playground. Very unprofessional. Farron was the worst of the lot.

The audience(selected by the BBC) was UTTERLY and TOTALLY left wing surely you cannot deny that.Corbyn could have farted and got a standing ovation.Nuttall was treated deplorably by the same crowd.

I thought that too King Louis, I only just found out the other day, when I quoted him as an exception!
He was once a member of the SDP, an educated bloke he wrote a book in praise of Privatisation and a year or so ago described Labour as "Being like Herpes".

He always seems to favour left leaning folk on Newsnight, often extremely rude to the right wingers. Also Newsnight is run by an ex Guardian editor/director.

I don't know about political bias They do seem to pack audiences with a liberal and leftish leaning. But then this is the education people have been fed with for decades. So what do you expect. No one rock the boat!!!! I would say the bbc is more about avoiding the extremes. Very establishment. The system etc. They are, however, very pro Eu and pro Islam.

Whether you like it or not Twizzle, Nuttall is of no consequence. Corbyn has support because he has a manifesto many people like. The Tories haven't said ANYTHING about what they're going to do except be "Strong and Stable".
Moisok, the BBC is dreadful, the diversity policy and their political correctness makes them virtually unusable at times. But despite what is so often said. PC is NOT the same as Left-Wing.

Anxious. I said as a pensioner I like the sound of some of Labour's policies. And I do, but cannot contemplate voting for them because of Corbyn, McDonnell and Abbott's views on the IRA. They are unforgivable and deeply troubling.

Some of the IRA stuff may have been a tiny bit misrepresented, KL. There were many meetings at the time by many people on all sides, Corbyn just did his in the open.
