15 years, he said it was a prank.

Smith, who has an autistic spectrum disorder, built the device using a £2 clock from Tesco and an al-Qaeda online article on bomb-making.

Will none of the apologists reply to Leopard's question?

Don't know.

But, if he makes a bomb but makes it poorly does that make it ok? If his intention was far it to explode and kill or maim people but the bomb failed to go off, does that make it ok?

What about his skin colour? If he's white, does that make it ok?

If he's not a muslim does that make it ok?

It seems that those looking to balance acts of Islamic terror with those of whites can only come up with this nutter. Desperate stuff to compare him with the Manchester bomber, but needs must, I suppose.

It is indeed saddo  it is as if they want to water it all down - blow smoke over it - obfuscating  - the more you can talk about something else moves you away from the subject of islamic terrorism and the problem we have in the uk.
Pure apologist tactics.

Really?

Firstly, who's trying to balance? What is it, a competition?

As for only come up with this nutter, you may want to take your brain back 12 months.

Always amuses me to see the digging certain types do to explain away the actions of non-muslim d!ckheads when their words would be completely different if the perp was called Mohammed instead of Damon. How many on here would be asking if the bomb was viable if it was an ISIS recruit who'd made it? You boys really do show yourselves up sometimes.

I have no idea, you'd be better asking the person who started a thread comparing the two acts.

Just read the opening post? Don't see any comparatives on there if I'm honest.

Saddo - a question for you seeing as you made a point of wanting Leopard's question answered. Do you think the bomb being viable or not matters in terms of punishment due?

I have not heard of the man until reading the op, so I have no idea what went on, I may watch the news later, but maybe not. Was this thread an attempt to compare these people? Of course it was, and quite pathetic really.

Saddo - so you've only just heard of him but were so keen on seeing Leopard's question answeredConfused? My question isn't remotely re this guy; it's general. A guy plants a bomb and it either goes off or it doesn't. The intent is the same though. Do you think it makes a difference and, hence, do you think it makes Leopard's question valid as you appear to?

Moysey - I don't care if he's christian, muslim or jedi. He tried to hurt people and has been locked up. Hopefully he'll be getting a very warm welcome for the next 15 years or so.

I'll still point and laugh at the likes of Moysey and saddo who are desperate to sweep any atrocities committed by white people under the carpet yet google frantically and choke on their own outrage if the perp is a muslim. Double standards and hypocrisy are there to be sneered at. And I'll happily sneer at morons who choose that.

I will have to look at what happened when I can be bothered. I avoid news-and google- for days at a time, it's healthy.

It's not event specific. You don't need the news or anything to provide you with the answer, I'm just asking for an opinion. You seemed keen on Leopard's question to be answered so obviously you have an interest in it.

Do I think a white Muslim extremist should be treated the same as a coloured Muslim extremist? I am quite sure you know the answer to that. Islam is our enemy, not coloured people.

You seem to be having some trouble reading and responding to my question.

Would it help if I wrote it in capitals?

A GUY PLANTS A BOMB AND IT EITHER GOES OFF OR IT DOESN'T. THE INTENT IS THE SAME THOUGH. DO YOU THINK IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE AND, HENCE, DO YOU THINK IT MAKES LEOPARD'S QUESTION VALID AS YOU APPEAR TO?

I'll put in bold too. Let me know if it turns invisible again.

I'll let you seethe a while and have a look. But anyone planting anything with the intent of killing, should be removed from society until deemed safe. Why would you have to ask anyone that, do you really think anyone would say otherwise?
By:

the appeasers tried to do a smoke job on the seriousness of islamic terrorism and go for a white extremist but screw up as he is yet another islamic terrorist who followed al-queda tactics

it all went wrong for porky and the rest of them
By:

When: 26 May 17 14:53
I'd hope not but now I'm left curious as why you were so keen on Leopard's question being answered. What difference would it make if the bomb was viable or not. I just find that very strange.

Moysey - see this is where you show yourself up again. Who's appeasing anything? I only ever look for consistency and fairness. If someone does something atrocious the punishment and outrage should be the same no matter if he's black, white or purple. Surely that's an easy concept to grasp. So calling me an appeaser, while completely false, shows you up as being unable to debate without name calling. (I name call too sometimes, it's fun and sometimes cuts through to the heart of the issue much quicker, but you should always be able to state your case too.)

As for this guy, I've read the piece and nowhere in it does it say he's muslim. He was interested in islam, had a photo taken with someone but he's way more catholic than islam I'm afraid. As for al-qaida tactics. I didn't know there were different tactics for terrorism. Interesting. What tactics was Jo Cox's killer following by the way? Good old fashioned English 4-4-2 ones? Answers on a postcard.

Does it make my opinion on this guy any different if he's christian or muslim or whatevs? Not in the slightest. Why should it? There's an argument that he's a sick puppy but I'm sure you could argue that Fred West and the Yorkshire Ripper were sick puppies too. Stuff em.

The politicians should hold a referendum to bring back capital punishment and I couldn't care less where this Smith guy is on the autistic spectrum he should be put down.

why are they using autism as some sort of excuse?? the kid was clever enough to make a bomb and place it somewhere it could cause harm. got what he deserved imo.

the worst was his lawyer who said "hes learned his lesson" and appealed for no prison time. ended up with 15 yrs. sorry boyo but autism is not an excuse for trying to kill people.
