Yes, bunch of second raters, but they turned up, sad that the main two parties didn't ! ...... and May goes on The One Show instead ! I think Corbyn should still have turned up without her, massive opportunity for him tonight. Missed a chance to have a real swipe at the tories. As it was, the whole thing was a pointless exercise.

We're in good hands with her in control anxious.
Wouldn't trust any of the others.
Hopefully she sweeps the boards and Jeremy and his shadow benchers get. the boot from Labour.
Time we had a decent opposition for the good of the country.
Report moisok May 18, 2017 11:11 PM BST
ANX - so your alternative is what?  I only recognise a stream of anti socialism socialists who have ground the party right down and fked its chances of being elected.  The latest lot in the PLP have stabbed corbyn in the back.

We lost it when Kinnock senior and his lot started.

Regardless of my membership, I think corbyn is lost with his nuclear and immigration policies.

Moisok you are entitled to your opinion , everybody who as voted Labour most of their lives should stick with Jeremy , the  younger people like him and can see that he genuinely cares about all of the country not just some of it
Report ufcdan May 19, 2017 8:03 AM BST
anxious I can't disagree with you regards Jeremy, however you say if you voted Labour all your life you should continue to do so. If your below forty and voted Labour you'd of been voting for Blair, why would you now vote for Corbyn ? Even I didn't mind Blair leading the country although now history shows he didn't do a great job. The people of this country will never vote for the ultra right nor will they vote for the ultra left !!!! Who are now infiltrating the Labour Party. Socialist regimes have never worked and never will. The USSR collapsed, Venezuela has been left on its knees despite once having had huge oil wealth and then there's North Korea where either people are eating grass or having to take a huge risk entering the capitalist black market to survive. I would say the disparity between Kim and some poor sod working in a rice paddy has to be as great if not greater than any CEO and the lowest paid worker over here. Theresa is moving the party to the centre right while Corbyn is moving further to the left which does not appeal to the vast majority of the population. After all you mention the working class, what is working class nowadays? A plumber or electrician on £200 a day ?
Report anxious May 19, 2017 9:29 AM BST
Dan I don't think many people saw the Rise of Trump in America people even thought he had no hope to win the Republican nomination never mind the White House , even though I disagree with a lot about him nobody can deny that he tapped into a anti-globalist establishment agenda which was bubbling under the surface , the same with Bernie Sanders, if you look since the 2008 financial crash people are looking for different answers and in some ways the old left/right debate as moved on as people look for different solutions
Report Breedingmad May 19, 2017 9:53 AM BST
But Trump had to reach out globally for cash as no U.S. banks would touch him ..hardly an anti-globalist himself..
Report TELL DEL May 19, 2017 10:51 AM BST
When this idiot began planning his campaign to become Labour leader and plotted against his brother, that was a disaster for the party. Voters could never take this man seriously he was so Wallace and Gromit character. Labour falling apart and no decent opposition.

Report treetop May 19, 2017 11:03 AM BST
Laughable waste of time last night showed exactly why May wsspoton dodging the media bullet. Whilst I am amazed that anyone cancontemplate anyone other than May winning next month I can applaud Corbyn for bringing some choice back to the electorate. For two decades or more we have had politicians ignoring their own membership values,Major and his EU preferences with Maastricht,Blair and his contempt for Labour values and preparing the ground for Lisbon in 1997 with mass immigration and undermining of the workers and Cameron insulted his own party members repeatedly. UKIP forced a referendum only because of this distance from the voters and Corbyn embodies this anger from the Labour memebrship. At least the politicians have had a good kicking and may have to begin to listen to voters more.

What do you object to in Labour's Manifesto ?

What do you think is good in the Tory Manifesto. ?
Report ufcdan May 19, 2017 7:11 PM BST
Facts can't complain about the Labour manifesto to much except it financially can't be delivered. You tax the rich or the corporations excessively they fu ck off. They have the ways and certainly the means. Also as I've said many times before I want a leader to push the button if we're attacked, if I'm going I want to take you with me.

As for the Tory manifesto I like the provision for taking care of your own care in later life should you need it. Why should wealthy people have the country pay for their care, I have always believed in looking after those who can't but those that can should. Many of us on here myself included don't have a great deal for the Muslim culture and the troubles it now seems to bring (wasn't like it thirty years ago) credit to them you don't see their old languishing in old people's homes, they look after their own. A leaf we should take out of their book, whether it's family or country. I agree with many and not the Tories on the issue of foreign aid. I also can't understand charging firms for hiring talented foriegn workers ! Wonder if it will apply to the NHS ?
Report ufcdan May 19, 2017 7:13 PM BST
To say ffs re Muslims
Report Facts May 19, 2017 8:13 PM BST
Your point  re companies leaving if they pay more corporation tax. No they don't. Lots of examples to prove this.
Nuclear war is insane. And totally pointless. There are no '

The social care ploy is a con. Is someone who has £100,000 ( inc your house) wealthy ?
I don't think so,
Report ufcdan May 19, 2017 8:21 PM BST
If your house is worth a £100,000 it won't be touched by the state and you will be looked after for free, if your house is worth £300,000 you MAY contribute up to £200,000 not only looking after yourself but the other person who's assets only amount to £100,000, it's called society. I really can't see the problem with it.
Report pan07 May 19, 2017 10:24 PM BST
