I'm usually training for some stupid physical challenge. At present I'm probably at about 8 hours a week, which will be rising to nearer 20 in the summer

I've had a shoulder injury that just won't heal which limits my exercise and can't play squash until after surgery, the only exercise I currently get is walking Muttley for about 6 or 7 miles a day.

I love walking him Injera, he is a lovely pooch. Always had dogs all my life but he is the best. Our walks invariably end up with me having a cheeky cold one in one of the local pubs, so it's a win win situation. Exercise and a pint, jobsagoodun

Dogs are a fantastic way to make you take more exercise. I have a pedometer in my pocket (not a euphemism btw) and average anything between 8,000 and 12,000 steps per day but if the mutts weren't there I'd be much less inclined to get out in the fresh air.
