Not yet. Just watched the 3 episodes back to back.The last one involved the guy from the advert featuring Northern Soul, I forget the product. He was doing the 3rd degree ceremony where you get asked lots of questions, hence the term.. Given the 3rd degree.

That gives us a problem. You see, although Scotland had partially adopted Pope Gregory's Calendar (the Papish Calendar) by beginning the year 1600 on January 1st instead of the conventional March 25th, England and the colonies had not.

England eventually fell into line with Catholicism by shortening the year 1751 to March 25th - 31st December. This meant that 1752 began early on January 1st. To add to the confusion, the days 3rd September 1752 through 13th September 1752 were deleted, meaning that in England and its possessions the year 1751 only had 282 days and the year 1752 had a mere 355 days. Don't forget, we also have to account for leap years which came in at the same time.

Which particular day should we stay abed this year? Are we already too late or will June 24th be too early? We need a mathematician. A bookie would do.

"Sir Francis Darwin, one of the Doctor’s sons, was made a Mason in Tyrian Lodge, No. 253, at Derby, in 1807 or 1808. His son Reginald was made a Mason in Tyrian Lodge in 1804. The name of Charles Darwin does not appear on the rolls of the Lodge but it is very possible that he, like Francis, was a Mason."
