I love the claim on food banks, surely it stops the starving ?

People have to be referred to use a food bank. The greater the capacity of the food bank then the more referrals they can handle.
Food banks is an industry that creates its own demand by first providing a service then asking for referrals.

So clearly food banks create their own demand.

I might be missing something, maybe its a northern thing.
I donate loads, i spent time off from work doing volunteer work. I attended my local food bank, well it wasnt a food bank it was a hand out of food and clothes for the drug taker.

Its worse that people clapping footballers whilst watching a game in the pub on tv,stop clapping is my manifesto.
Go into any town center just before midnight and have a look at the people waiting by the cash points (usually post office) waiting for their benefit money to go into their bank accounts.
A taxi driver told me recently that they get the cash, get a cab straight to the drug dealer and the 24 hour off licence. Blow the benefit money.... They won't starve, food banks are for this
