The Jo Coburn interview points up the intelligence, competence and ruthless efficiency of the interviewer, and the lack thereof Laugh from Abbott.

So why aren't people like Jo Coburn politicians? Evidently, nobody really wants to be President of the USA either.

How much does Jo Coburn get paid by the BBC?

Many times more than she could earn as an MP if the massive amounts that other presenter get are true.
Report johnizere May 4, 2017 7:18 AM BST
Allegedly, Flabbott has been paid more than £600K by the BBC in the last 5 years or so for her appearances on TV.

A fat, black, socialist woman - she knew many years ago the BBC would be a perennial engorged teat for her to suck our cash out of. And so it came to pass. In the multiverse there are many worlds where she is Home Secretary - please, mighty Chthulu, not this one.

Is that top painting genuine?  You know when the skeleton of a 400,000 year old early relative of the **** sapien is discovered and a facial reconstruction gets done; it looks like that.

600K   BUT SHE IS A SOCIALIST

hohohohohoho ho

Like that one who was chief of the socialists  mr bliar.

how did that turn out

the kant cleared any socialism out of the party then cleared off making millions

now we face the return of similar types of non socialists like kinnock, starmer, chukka, cooper etc

the suits and careerists will rise up to the fore - what a horrid prospect

Even socialists don't mind some people being more wealthy than others. It's when it goes all extreme and unfair (Blair IS a good example) that socialism isn't in play.

Abbott has done nothing to justify any wealth.
Not only that - she is the biggest liability to any vague chance that the Labour party might have of making any gains at the election and is the biggest symbol of Corbyns lack of good judgement

Name me the Labour ones who represent the people they are supposed to look after. I can think of very few.  They are more interested in appearing for money; in their own careers, pockets, how they look, future book deals, future and current lecture tours.  It is really evil how they do this on the back of their 'working class diatribe' or 'people's champions' or defenders of the NHS etc.

CHARLATANS  is a good description of these people with many faces

Why I am still a member!!!??????
Report STUDYFORM May 7, 2017 8:53 PM BST
As a younger man I used to think - even before it was as well known as it is now - that they are ALL corrupt.....
But, the Labour corruption (based on where they came from) would be cheaper for us than the Tory corruption (given that most Tories were well off to start with and it would take more to buy them).
I'm not sure how right I was, if it still holds true, or even if it's worse than it used to be.
What is needed is a major upheaval of how these people are paid, what they do and why and maybe it would become so much grief for them they would do it properly.
Oh, and NO 2nd jobs or outside conflicts of interest and having to work to the same rules as the rest of us.
Most of them would turn it in and we could have a complete new set of (fairer) politicians and diplomats and it really wouldn't matter which party.
Report moisok May 7, 2017 9:05 PM BST
based on my past union involvement I can state it is so fkn corrupt you would not believe

AND I AM STILL A MEMBER  - I fear that is not for long - either dead or card torn up!!!
Report STUDYFORM May 7, 2017 9:16 PM BST
I can't see the point in belonging to any party. You just become an unpaid skivvy for when they want the plum job.

If ANY of them worked as hard once elected as they do trying to get elected I'd be happier and surprised.
Report curious-cat May 8, 2017 6:46 AM BST
Study ... I kind of agree with your post of 20:14 but on issues Corbyn has a track record that surpasses New Labour.

He wouldn't have cosied up to the bankers like Brown did ...... and as for the disaster that was Blair ... !
