bodil was a friend of mine?

Sorry. I've been wrestling with the problems of ageing, looking after family, alcohol and the meaningless (or otherwise) of life. I fully accept that many of you are useful and essential to others. Sloppy wet kisses to all.

No. You were right the 1st time.
Especially if we can equate useless to pointless. |

Getting down to the quantum level certainly. And everything in the universe is at the quantum level. Actually thinking about it makes me happier. Not my fault. And in countless alternative universes things are better. And vice versa.
Sorry watching Bosch 3 on Amazon Prime - it's great. Thank god for TV that grips or we would be insane with boredom. Hey, maybe I'm about to branch out on an ecstatic branch of reality where you tell me tomorrow's winners? All things are possible. |

It's the small pleasures in life that keep us going.

A bit like the (short version) joke about the old bloke wandering through the desert who stumbled over a magic lamp and picked it up and gave it a rub, when a genie appeared and offered him just 1 wish.
Being the considerate, caring type, the bloke asked for peace throughout the middle east and Arab/Israeli region and took a map out of his pocket and gave it to the genie. After a bit of studying, the genie says "you're asking a bit much mate. Haven't you got something a bit easier I could do?" So he gets a picture of his wife of 40 years out of his wallet and gives it to the genie saying "I want you to transform my wife into a young, beautiful, voluptuous women. The genie studies the picture. "Hmmmm" He says, after about 5 minutes. "Give me have that map back". That is me deciphering your post, bodil. ![]() |

I may have been drinking. But I was in the golden zone.
|
|
By:
Hope you don't mean the golden zone is a puddle of your own making caused by the drink?
Bed now for me. I want you to know that if I could give you tomorrow's winners, bodil, I would. Let's hope that thought gets through to a universe where it can happen, than you can feel even more golden in the knowledge that another bodil is going to have a very good day tomorrow. |

We have to face it eventually. Maybe it's just checking out? To my certain knowledge no-one dead has ever failed in that task. And, to be honest, most of us who make a certain age bother to put up much of a fight.
But I will - just to see what happens. |

We would both like to know why and how. And one day, someone(very vaguely)like us will. And that's enough.

No Vel, that was nothing like an explanation of the cosmos or the meaning of life. But thank you anyway. Trout Mask Replica is a part of my youth.

Has that news of Tony Blair returning to the political arena not galvanised you bodil?
|
|
By:
Blair is similar to leprosy. Just stay away and you'll be OK.
No, that's not fair - he should be burned on sight. |
|
By:
He's surely aware of the hostility most people feel about him.
|
|
By:
Once you've burnt your bridges and boats - there is no where else to go. Blair has gone beyond the borders of sanity. He's Fuc*ed for eternity - not just for the year of the cat.
