I watched an episode last night where the high court sheriffs turned up at a shop run by a Muslim bloke who owed his suppliers twelve grand. First of all he claimed the debt wasn't his problem. When the officers started seizing stock off the shelves the bloke locked the shutters down and raced off to the town hall, where he somehow managed to arrange for a judge to set the debt aside.

The sheriffs couldn't believe it, said something like that should be impossible. Anyway, when the shopkeeper arrived back with his judge's letter he also brought his brothers and started to get aggressive. He walked up behind one of the officer's and slapped him hard on the head shouting "do one baldy" or something like that.

The police were called and things heated up on the pavement. The shopkeeper's father turned up in full Islamic garb and threatened the police, calling them "sons of *******" and saying we will "sort you out".

The police told the high court sheriffs to leave, before taking the shopkeeping to the station. The sheriffs were gutted but commented "at least he'll spend a night in the cells to teach him a lesson".

But he was released in thirty minutes without charge!

WTF!!! Corruption is rife. Authorities are petrified of because labelled racists.

Getting a judge (within 30 minutes) to override a high court order that has taken months to process astonished the sheriffs, they could not believe it possible. Stinks of corruption.

I have flicked through a few of these kinds of programs... bad tenants etc

I'm surprised they are allowed to be shown on mainstream TV. Obviously ray sist producers coz not many of the 'culprits' are white British

If they came over, started controlling everything and can now get a judge within 30 min by running to the townhall, dont you think they deserve a little bit more respect? I mean you as natives never achieved that level in centuries and they as outsiders have beaten you in your own system within a few decades Shocked

No, what's needed is the law of the land to be applied without fear or favour, and for justice to be colour/gender/faith blind.

Well said Alun. There is no way anybody can run to town hall officials and persuade them to arrange for a judge to order high court officials to stop enforcing their duty without some kind of corruption being involved. The sheriffs themselves could not believe it possible. Remember that months of investigation had gone into the high court judgement, the geezer definitely owed some poor fecker twelve grand and had no intention of paying up. And then to assault the officer on camera, presumably knowing he would quickly get away with that as well, is just sickening.

Don't want to mention the shop in case it gets me in trouble, but it was in Birmingham and was called C*****n Accessories. BTW, if anyone thinks I've exaggerated anything, the whole lot was captured on camera. If anything, I've played it down a bit.

There also evicted a group of Somali men from the worst shytehole you've ever seen. The electrics had been hot wired to a lamppost, live wires hanging about amongst what looked like an indoor landfill site.

I've watched this programme loads of times.
Mostly it's a sad indictment of the sad times in which we live.
It only touches on the ridiculous costs the High Court officers add to bills the poor sods already can't afford.
The thing is not always won't pay it's often 'have no money' won't pay.

Of 3 or 4 tales a show, you have picked just 1 out where the family were out of order (and were muslims).
Mostly it's the bullying sheriffs who are out of order. We weren't told how/why they got a judge involved. So your assertion that it's because they are Muslims is probably wrong. As for "controlling everything" that could be a bit of a stretch too.

The case for "Muslims are taking over" which some of you love to attribute to nearly every thread is misplaced in this one.

Unfortunately we now live in a world where loads of different people have to mix together and it isn't reasonable to pick out odd stories to prove a point.
Also, no amount of leaving the EU will get non-EU immigrants out of the UK, so the confusion must be blowing some minds on here!

There have been dozens of stories of dodgy British people all over this programme. Why not mention them?

Oh gawd, here he is again, the buttercup-in-chief arriving to write reams and reams of nonsense. Why don't you start your own thread about those nasty sheriffs collecting money OWED instead of stinking up this one with your hand wringing tripe? What would you do if some scrote robbed your money Studyform? Send round a collecting tin and a thank you letter? No, of course you wouldn't, you'd send round the heavies like everyone else so stop preaching from your high horse.

"Your assertions that it's because they are Muslims"

Totally wrong Studyform, I asserted no such thing at all. How typical of you to interpret something incorrectly just to suit your own agenda. What I actually asserted was because they were CORRUPT. They fact that the shopkeeper was Muslim only had a bearing on my assertion that the authorities were afraid of being labelled as racists.

Despicable twisting of words from Studyform there, desperately contriving to make somebody else out to be a racist where no racism existed. Lowest of the low.

btw. Torquemada,
I have experienced "scrotes owing me money". You know nothing (but that's obvious from everything you write on here).

As for the racist stuff, I never once mentioned the word. Also you could do with reading what everyone else wrote.

The hypocrisy of Studyform is relentless. Nobody on here could honestly believe that statement about not having an agenda, it is laughable! LaughLaughLaughLaugh

As is mistakenly attacking me for something somebody else wrote - and then advising me to read what others have written! What a grade A numpty! LaughLaughLaughLaughLaugh

As far "scrotes owing you money" what did you do about it then? Talk about it over a cup of tea?

Saw one where a guy had bought a car with a 12 mnth MOT which was taken to a garage after three days following a breakdown. The garage refused to allow him to drive it as it was so knackered and when the sherrifs arrived to collect the money from the dealer who had sold him the banger, the dealer had his brother bring a piece of paper saying all the garage stock had been sold to him. They called the cops who supervised the removal of an Audi to cover the debt. Lying, devious, ******

I've watched a few episodes of this with mixed emotions.
Felt pity for people who simply can't pay albeit ignoring at the time that some other person might be suffering because of the lack of payment.
The only ones that got me angry were those that never paid their rent for months. Takes ages to get them out and even then the local authorities must find them accommodation.
I had this problem with a house I inherited and decided to rent out. Was a nightmare from very early on but I dealt with it myself, or at least my son did, without the cost of going to court.

I didn't see the one where the guy ran to the town hall to get a judge to intervene.
I would have been screaming at the TV on that one.

The one that I found the most mercenary, was a young couple with a sick child, and coupled to some treatment apparatus.
I can't recall what that was, but it would be life threatening if it was disconnected!

Have to wonder how much these are paid!

I would guess nearer to 20% than 10%....

I think I heard that super cool Paul Bohill is 70 years old, which is incredible considering the demands of the job!

I saw that episode with the sick child AP.
They hadn't paid rent for 4 or 5 months.
They also got rehoused immediately by the local authorities.
Not sure where any blame lies but if it were your own property should you be expected to wash your hands of payment.

Watched some last night.....

Strange that very many are foreign types!

The Alabanians fitted the pattern perfectly, with all their lies and deceit and behaviour.

They took the Audi, which they reconed would only fetch £1,400 at auction so, including cost of recovery,
would hardly make anything against the debt!

Why did they not go for the BMW, or did I miss something?
