has Tunnocks wafers been bought yet? converted to multi corporate ars oles.
By:
Nope. Moved to Landan though..
By:
I don't believe that is true G2D. They began advertising on the Landan underground a while ago and called the product British and not Scottish, which caused the outrage. As far as I am aware they are still made in the Lanarkshire factory. I believe there is a 2 year waiting list for factory visits. Boyd Tunnock (84!) is still in charge and he is the grandson of Thomas who founded the company.

I stand corrected, Tommy. I did think they moved some of the business darn sarf..
I still love the stuff wherever it comes from.. |
By:
To the OP - so what if they've moved to Poland? It's not as if Nestle is even a British company, they're Swiss. I bet most of the things in your house and the clothes you're wearing are all made outside the UK. Get over it mate.

I was going for 8 two finger kit kats for £1 but they weren't on offer anymore but Blue Riband were.
Such a **** for a biscuit offer. |
By:
Me too zorro,boycott these companies.
By:
I thought they were pretty ordinary as a kid and have never had one since old enough to buy my own biscuits. I haven't looked but it is quite likely that Lidl and Aldi do one at half the price, screw Nestle.
By:
**** - the only thing worse than Blue Riband were Tunnock's caramel wafer bars. Satan's own!
By:
The caramel wafer only needed coating in chocolate to make it half decent imo, did they ever get round to it?
By:
I used to manage the school's tuck shop. You will not be surprised that I looted the profits. Tunnock's were a bane, the bane - I believe they, and their consumers, should be coated in acid and burnt at some symbolic ****g stake.
By:
Yum yum
By:
Tunnocks can be expensive, especially the dentist's bill after the caramel has pulled your fillings out.

Nestle are one of the 10 companies that control virtually the whole of the food market. Why not go the whole hog and boycott all their products.
Items marked with an * are either part-owned by Nestlé, such a L’Oreal, Body Shop, Lactalis Nestlé Chilled Dairy (a 60:40 joint venture between Lactalis and Nestlé, which owns Rachel’s Dairy) and Cereal Partners (a 50:50 joint venture with General Mills) or have been sold but there is an arrangement by which Nestlé continues to profit from them. No longer Nestlé: PowerBar, Branston Pickle, Crosse and Blackwell, Fox’s Glacier Mints, Gales Honey, Libby’s Juices, Sun Pat, Sarsons and Tartex may appear on old lists, but no longer have any link to Nestlé. Differences between countries: Findus and Haagen Daz have no link to Nestlé in the UK, but may have in some other countries. Zorro - Don't Blue Ribands have gluten in them. I thought you don't eat gluten, so why are you just boycotting them now.
Also if you actually care about the world rather than just care about preaching about the evils of man, then anything that contains palm oil that doesn't state it as sustainable should be avoided (e.g. Blue Ribands). Do you carefully ensure that you avoid all such foods. |

I hope they get their labelling right.
I mean, you wouldn't want any Bonio in your Shreddies, or Go-Kat in your Jelly Tots. |
