Lets talk gambling.="you are were you are at this present time.=your available to bet balance is what it is=And you want to get to where you want to go."
rule 1.it all starts here right this very minute,you want to win 10 grand and the money in your account is going to take you there.
rule 2.listen to nobody,you know how to win,its a matter of following your own rules.
rule 3.sit fecking down with a cup of tea and have a cigarette if you smoke and have a long think about your gambling.
rule 4.to win ten grand takes time so when you plan your gambling strategy give yourself a time limit of one year to get there.(if you get there quicker all the better)
rule 5.enjoy the journey to the 10 grand destination.
rule 6.you know you can do it, so once you know you can do it its 80% of the battle.

so 10 grand this day next year sounds good.thats a full year for you to get to your destination.
there will be good days and bad days because nobody can win every day. so break your journey up into 12 stages.lets say 850 quid each month,so you are under no pressure ,no need to hurry and be selective with your choices.you have all the time you need.but keep a paper record of all your bets ,as you build your bank towards your goal of 10 grand next april you will enjoy filling in your profits in your new system book. I am not telling you how to win (you know how to do that yourself)I am just telling you how to focus and how to discipline yourself. you know you can do it its just a matter of 100% focus on the journey. you would not climb mount Everest without planning ,so planning is vital for you to succeed. so enough said "go have the tea and the cig and think about your new journey that starts tomorrow" you can thank Brass later.  |

thanks I needed this. half the battle is the belief. if you believe something in your head you start to find reasons to support it. i.e. you start making more winning bets.

focus on what works and leave behind the things that aren't working.
keep accounts of your bets, p&l, roi, win % so you can refine things ultimately, be honest and transparent with yourself over whether you are winning or losing. |

This sounds like the classic choose your bets carefully gubbins that people like to say. They then go on about how when they win they are making great value bets and their system works, but all their losing bets seem to strangely be because of lack of discipline.
For all these people I would say that for every bet decide BEFORE you know the result whether your bet is in the category of a great value system bet or whether it is a bet that was made with no discipline. Remember label these bets BEFORE you know the result. Then look at your great value bets only and decide whether your supposed betting system is a crock of sh1te or any good. Remember no cheating. Alternatively sit down have a cup of tea and a cig and then give up tea and cigs. The savings should get you to vaguely closeish to half of your 10K target. |

I like it. Better still, give up cigs and alcohol and you will be even closer to your £10K target after a year. Some may achieve it in even less time than that.
