Back on the subject of Peter Ebdon, he used to do my napper in. He'd take 3 or 4 minutes over a single shot and that's just not cricket.

I remember that match about 10(?) years back when he beat Ronnue. He was having the cue ball cleaned literally every third shot.

Imo, the incidence of ethnic minorities in particular sports is linked to role models. In all probability, a young black lad will want to take up football, boxing or basketball.

Since (some) Black people have longer arms than White people of the same height, you'd think there should be an advantage for sports like darts, snooker and perhaps even horseracing -- so like i_agree_with_nick says, it's probably about role models.
This is probably also why we now have more Chinese snooker players in the top whatever. |
