Boxy's joke line from the Rab C Nesbitt Highlands episode is based on fact here in Liverpool believe it or not.
 If someone owes money to the wrong people it is quite possible gangsters will break into their house, record them being molested by a homosexual rapist, and then threaten to send the tape to friends and family if they don't pay up. This has happened to numerous men in Liverpool who were considered tough guys in their own right and it always destroys them totally. Several have committed suicide. Shocking reality of the darker side of city life. |
