Emma Morano was born on 29 November 1899 in the Piedmont region of Italy.
She was officially the last person born in the 1800s still living.

which it is - it's nonsense ending the century at '99 tbf ,but it sounds better and i guess makes life easier .
a bit like the seasons always end/start at the end /start of months and are exactly 3mths regardless of where you are  |
