A bit lame as the column was a couple of days ago and only now decide to suspend him , after The Guardian etc kick up a fuss  ?

What did he say?

He made a few observations on an Everton footballer which suggested he didn't have a very high IQ and that most people on the thicko's salary are drug dealers.

Mackenzie's comments don't seem out of order ;the so called racist reference is being blown out of all proportion....Most white working class footballers are thick;it goes with the job.

Should never compare a person to a gorilla, poor journalism and unfair on the gorilla.

Kelvin Mckenzie stuck up for the Sun when they didn't have a front page lead on  the Hillsborough inquest where the fans were exonerrated from any blame that he apportioned onto them, must feel like a bit of a prat now.

The whole article is obviously stupid and an unprovoked / unnecessay attack on someone not as bright as him - because he doesn't need to be.

The guy who made the complaint would have carried more weight if he had left the racist accusation out of it. Completely ludicrous slant on what was already a crass and stupid article that needed no interpretaion.
