It was a thought provoking (to me, anyway) 1961 "Biblical epic chronicling the life of Christ, from the rumours of a coming Messiah before his birth, through his rise as a spiritual leader to his eventual betrayal, crucifixion and resurrection. Narrated by Orson Welles and starring Jeffrey Hunter, Siobhan McKenna, Robert Ryan, Rip Torn, Hurd Hatfield and Harry Guardino." I really thought it might have provoked more interest here. I mean in a Christian country at Easter? Yet another sign of the times, I guess. Heysoos was played by a bloke who a couple of years later went "Where no man has gone before" Sort of an ET ascension..
Apparently he didn't like his ascension and fecked off to Europe to make some goddamn awful westerns.. And it was all going so well in The Searchers.... |

Not to worry, Mr Trilby, those of us unimpressed by the mythology surrounding the Heysoos story are unlikely to be persuaded by similar creeds.
Those who convert are likely to be suggestible types who are at odds with society, which is why prisons are fertile breeding grounds for the other lot. |
