xmoneyx when you first try then the eye feels particularly sensitive for a moment when fitting them but as you get used to them the eye lens hardens slightly and even a bit of dust, eyelash, etc can be fished out no problem, I got so used to using them I didn't need a mirror.
The trick I found was to offer the lens up to the eye and when its close enough the eye'takes it' without effort. Hope that makes sense!.

My brother (55) got his eyes lasered 5 years ago and said it was the best thing he's done. Last year he said he needs it done again.
Get it done when you're young.

I've never had it done and I don't know but don't they do just one eye for long sighted and the other for short sighted?
Just speaking to my brother, he was really happy with it but probably his age was the wrong time.
I've one good eye (I read the bottom line of the chart)and one bad eye (could only read 2 lines) and I recently got my eyes done for the first time in 40 years. The optician said not wearing glasses for all those years probably helped my eyesight, my bad eye does all the reading while the good eye does all the distance.
I now have a pair of reading and distance glasses and don't use either
