If it was my own execution then most definitely "Death By A Thousand Nymphs" or perhaps the "Chesty  Morgan" method.

No death penalty for me, hard labour for life, profits from their labour pays for their keep. Want a X Box in your room and good food? Then you work 5 x 10 hour shifts a week.  Bet they would rather face the rope than have 30 or 40 years of that.

The thing is, Tommy there is no chance of hard labour ever being reintroduced, even less chance than Capital Punishment.

Prison should be much tougher than it is with nothing but the basics given and everything else needing to be earned.

See the film "In the Name of the Father" ...all about the "Guildford Four" nicely fitted up by the Old Bill - the Police had firm evidence that they weren't even involved (Police withheld vital evidence) and the poor phuckers did ten years in jail for a crime they didn't commit !
Now I'm not saying for one moment that all the Cops are a bad lot...but there are some right rotten apples in the barrel !

They were under pressure to get a result it was reported.
Should have been an enquiry into the case and those who cooked the evidence should have been jailed.

Nowadays dna evidence should more or less rule out any miscarriages such as those referred to earlier and therefore  i'd be happy to see the death penalty reintroduced.It would without doubt reduce the number of criminals both carrying and using guns and knives.

Doesn't even necessarily need to be deliberate. Accidental cross-contamination is a possibilty.

Something else to consider is that juries may be less likely to convict if a guilty verdict means the death penalty. In fact, they may be less able to convict if the bar is set higher to guard against a miscarriage of justice.
