I one had a whole cooked chicken with a lemon shoved up it's jacksie, it was delicious, but the surprised look on it's face was a little offputting. Shocked

The thing is - the acidity of the lemon helps break down the meat and reduces the cooking time.

I'm part of the lemon squad.

Love it on everything.

Use at least 2 every time I eat fish.

Brilliant with meat too.

Try squirting some on a pork chop after its cooked - you'll never eat a pork chop without it again!

'Try squirting some on a pork chop after its cooked - you'll never eat a pork chop without it again!' That's what I do Tommy with a light dusting of black pepper.

I always have 'some in' - just in case I run out of fresh ones.

It's not as good nor tangy as the real McCoy, but does the job quite nicely when needed.

B&M sell BIG ones for about 30-40p!

Agree like beer or wine without the alcohol, doesn't do it for me

Boxing, I'm not a pork chop eater, but my mother used to love them.

She was also the most unadventurous person in the world when it came to food - but one year she went to Cyprus on holiday and found that every restaurant she went to they served lemon with the pork chops.

She never squirted the lemon till her final night there - and then she couldn't believe how brilliant an accompaniment it was to pork.

When she returned home she asked me to try a bite of her pork chop with the lemon on it - and I too thought it tasted fantastic.

She always had lemon with her pork chops ever-after.

I put a squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of dried oregano on all grilled meat. It's the Greek way and improves it no end imo.

use vinegar on meat - not lemon. lemon is for the toilet bowls, pledge polish and cheese cake. desserts.
