The 730 days is just the media getting confused with the two year rule.

Britain has officially declared that it will leave the EU within two years, that's all. Two years is the maximum time allowed to finish any outstanding business. There is no minimum time and Britain could walk out tomorrow and clear up any issues from the outside.

Article 50 is irrevocable and if Britain changed its mind, it would have to re-apply for membership and all 27 countries would have to agree.

Not sure A50 is irrevocable, legal minds come down on both sides of the argument. Either way unless there is an election and a new Government that is a moot point.
