Yes, mokegibboni, you could set your clock by them.

i've just realised after all these years that the clocks go back/forward 7 months apart and not 6 .

clocks should go back end of Sept surely if theyre ganna meddle with the clocks at all ?

British always do things according to months. For example, Mother's Day is nine months after Father's day.

Yes someone has taken a Nov 2002 post and had a bit of fun/nonsense with it Given the bombardment of 'news' about death and destruction (which I find tiresome) whats wrong with a bit of silly nonsense?. It's been done so often it would be remiss of CC not to have this posted, it's almost a compulsory bit of light hearted nonsense, hurting no one

boxingthefox - fair comment I suppose.

Mind you it could hurt someone if a newbie on here took it as read and changed their clock incorrectly. I reckon there are folks who do get confused as to which way to change the time and some of them just might believe the jokers on here and put it back instead of forward and vice versa!

It would have to hurt on a Sunday and they would have to have no friends, no radio, no TV, no smartphone (self changing) no computer (self changing) and not buy any papers. Vulnerable people would have relatives and or Carers to make sure this did not happen. I would be interested to hear examples of how this can hurt.

BTW good to converse with you again moke, hope you are well and enjoying your music. Happy

Laugh how do your post on here??? don't tell me pigeon post, LaughLaugh.

Thanks for your good wishes. I think most on here know that I had a narrow escape 3 years ago, a virus attacked my heart, went into A&E at the weekend, the specialist told me on the Monday that he was pleased I was "stilll with us" when I said really? he replied yes it was a close run thing.

The latest episode was a long drawn out affair which I'd rather avoid putting on here, but thanks for asking Happy.

Boxingthefox - yes, of course your right. Having said that, I'm with my parents at the moment. Dad's 94 and Mum's 96 and I had to remind Dad last Saturday evening to change the clocks as he had forgotten that it was the last Sunday in March. He would have found out eventually if I hadn't been there as my sister who's acting as part time carer would have noticed that clocks hadn't changed.

Suffice it to say that my parents wouldn't even know the existence of this website. Dad has a PC, but has never been on the Internet and that is never going to change.

Yes, I'm still doing gigs. Not a lot in the winter, about 2 a month on the average, but more jazz gigs during the summer months with corporate river boat shuffles and the like. More outdoor events in the summer months as you'd expect.

Hope you are well.

Btw I was looking at some old clips, The routers, 'Lets Go' Ventures 'Wipe out' etc, etc. Lets go responsible for the most widely used football chant after Brazilian fans too it up. Sbot Walker Bass guitar, the brilliant Hal Blaine on drums, also watched a docu on the Wrecking crew, those unsung heroes behind so many great hits.

I'm guesting with a rock 'n roll band in a week's time. That's unusual for me, although I did play with a function type band many years ago now, but jazz is my main style. We're just a 3 piece and apparently we're playing stuff from the 1950's all the way up to now. YouTube is very useful for learning pretty much any style of music. Should be interesting. I just hope I have the stamina to complete the gig! Lots of up tempo numbers. LOL!

Rehearsal tomorrow afternoon.
