I'd be careful about knocking on doors these days unless you know them, Bm.

Good stuff, some nutters out there enjoy making people's lives a misery.

you have to be prepared to move house every 10 years or so just to get away from the neighbours as the area gets worse.
they aren't nutters, this is the norm in large part

Duct tape and something small like blu-tack. Tape it over the doorbell so it permanently rings until they remove it themselves. They don't even have to know it's you. They need a doorbell of course!!

When I first moved in I had a not very bright Invernesian bloke as a neighbour
he got in trouble with the Police and when they came round to arrest him he decided
to  escape from them by jumping out of his window, he consequently broke both his
legs as our flats are on the 2nd floorCrazy

I had to knock on my neighbours door the night Iceland beat England. The tw@t was playing video games at full volume, at 11pm. I gave him a round of fooks, and a few home truths. Neither him nor his missus will look at me now.

Had noisy alcoholic former jailbird for a delightful neighbour 20 years ago ........fortunate enough to have lived in detached houses ever since, and never take the benefits for granted.

I think I'd rather live in a shack than have noisy neighbours.

Agreed, Jack.

I lived in a flat years ago. There was a dealer who lived on the bottom floor, who took more of the gear than he sold judging by the state of him. I got up for work one morning, and there was puke and piss all over the place. Him or his missus were the only suspects. I knocked on his door at 7am, and yelled through his letterbox, but he wasn't answering. I ended up leaving a mop, bucket and a bottle of bleach outside his door. Thankfully he or she had cleaned it up by the time I got home.

Consistently noisy neighbours would easily grind anybody down, imo.

noisy buggers next to me in an otherwise quiet street  - you know they have arrived . Luckily they shut up between midnight and 8am  so i can drown them out most of the time .  Unfortunately noisy neighbors have no social filter - it's a mental illness .

always had fairly quiet neighbors before Sad  plus this lot have cats sh1tting everywhere as they do .   It's hard work keeping a nice garden .

Noisy folk normally live in dead scruffy houses . Funny relationship that one .

I'm lucky that I have got great neighbours either side of me and I've known a few families down the same road pretty all my life and went to school with two of the sons. Never had a problem ever with anyone.

I had a bloke living next door to me some years back.

He'd go out in the morning and come home about an hour later. He'd be indoors for literally two minutes before going out again. He'd return maybe 45 minutes later. Again, he be in for two minutes.

He'd go out again for an hour or so before returning and being at home for a couple of minutes before going out again.

This was the pattern all day, every day.

I just thought it was slightly odd.
