you know the ones I mean, the ones that when they come on the radio, you say to yourself"that fecking song, and you switch the noise off.
The song I detest ,I can not fecking stand it is that old one by Georgie Fame and the bluenotes called I said yeh yeh.
most of you guys more that likely never heard of Georgie Fame but this song I am talking about would do your head in.fell free to play it ,but it will haunt you for the rest of your life.Alan Price sang it also and its just as bad.So its a no no from me on the song yeh yeh.
feel free to post that song that does YOUR head it.

This from the 90s
Edwyn Collins - I never met a girl like you before.
Everybody seemed to rave about it, song of the decade etc etc.
I couldn't get to the radio quick enough to switch it off.
Agree with that Georgie Fame number but to me this was even worse.

And to make up my trio I will include that song by leapee lee called "little Arrows"
If someone commits a minor offense that should be made listen to these three songs and that would stop people reoffending for fear of having to listen to them again.Grin

You haven't died until you've listened to Girls Just Wanna Have Fun about a hundred times.

Some relative decided to go over to CDs and I was the only kid in the family dumb enough to accept his old record player. It came with one record and that was the record.

Nobody made me play it, I just played it because I could. I was glad when the stylus broke.

Had a nightmare with my nemesis on radio last night .Short trip to supermarket listening to radio 2 where Simon Mayo does friday night requests.Woman requests Call Me Al,"Oh go away" or words to that effect were exclaimed in my car and I changed channel to local BBC radio on arriving at ones destination.15 mins round supermarket and back in car for 7pm news and sport and then it happened - the distictive first 4 bars of Call Me Al .Oh **** off.

Disagree RCT..the living years is a great song and its sad lyrics overwhelm me sometimes. Added to that i think Paul Carrack is a brilliant musician."Girls just wanna have fun" by Cyndy Lauper would definitely go into my room 101.

Come On Eileen.

All I need to hear is the opening bar and I'm THIS CLOSE to combusting. Radio stations should be closed down as a penalty for playing it.

Thats my point Twiz its easy to pick repetitive poppy tunes. So ive picked mine by decent musicians.Just find it sentimental claptrap, but I respect other people like it.

De Burgh should have been hung alone for having the temerity to try and make 'dance' rhyme with 'romance'. WAC.

That song that begins 'Everybody's talking 'bout me, I don't hear a word they say' blah blah....
and when it goes to the bit 'oh wawowawa' makes me cringe, but I've hit the off button long before then.

That current "I'm only human" thing is rapidly entering the race!

Sooooo repetitive, and it really gets into the mind and is hard to get rid of.

As for oldies "Tie a Yellow Ribbon" always annoyed me, and shock horror, am I the only one who cannot stand Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" - Mama Mia mama shyte!!!
