From my Airfix kit days, I wonder how you could be confused that you were in a Jet Provost as they were a two-seat trainer, the Hunter has one seat.
Got to be the luckiest fighter jet crash ever, those things don't crash land easily on big wide flat clear airfields. How he managed to survive the impact, fire, road furniture and hitting all those cars is perplexing.
Realising you've killed a load of people, perhaps part of him wishes he hadn't survived, must be hard to live with.

Flew too slow and too low for the manoeuvre in that plane although would have been okay in the plane he normally flew. Says he can't remember a thing. Lucky man to survive that although I don't think the relatives of the 11 men killed will think like that.

No, the pilot didn't black out as the Hunter was flying relatively slowly when instigating the loop, so the 'g' force wouldn't have been that great in this instance.
