I think there are a few people on here who are using new, or changed, names to further hide behind.
It might be nice, but entirely unlikely, if ANY of them had the balls to list their previous names.

I'm guessing you mean "Chat Name"!

Don't know under what circumstances you can do that, but otherwise just open a second account, where you will have
different login details, and a new chat name....

There was a glitch a few years ago that let you change your username but it didn't last for long (maybe a couple of days, I can't really remember).

I think you can request to change it but they may only do it in certain circumstances.

Yes , that was a great laugh. There was a chap who changed his name to Effing **nting ***stard, all in capitals. He posted a fair bit before he logged out!

So one person can change their name but others can't? there must be some secret way then. Unless he has special editing privlidges.

They may be using accounts of mates who don't use the forum. They may be using 2nd or 3rd accounts and there was that time when you could just invent a name and join the forum. All those were closed down though. What is certain is that several people on here are old timers but not using the same forum name(s) as they used to be known by.

His name is cainsteiner, if you click on his name, in the address bar it still says cainsteiner, but then a couple of days later it changed to Football Betting tips, I asked how he had just changed it and he said he contacted Betfair, so did I and they said you can't change names, one is not being truthful. Also stroddle said he asked the week before and they also said no, so this guy know some way of changing his name though I've no idea how.

It's one account, two different names.

in the address bar it still says cainster, but when he posts the name is now Football Betting Tips, which is why I know it's one account, two names.

To expound on my previous post, I changed my username from c h i n k ondrive chosen because of a takeaway that didn't get as far as the table (do you remember it Steve R, John etc?) . I used to get replies if I posted & they would shorten my name to chink so after explaining this I was allowed to change it - phew!

I think there are similar problems if one wishes to change one's email address. I understand that that is not easy to do either. I think to do that you have to contact your service provider (by post) and arrange to change it through them. But it's not a quick and easy process ..... unless someone on here knows otherwise?
