Diane put her son in a private school because she thought that was best for him, Maybe the local comprehensive was substandard..... Why should she damage his education for ideological reasons ?

I agree with her about racism but could they not find someone better to represent it. This interview was just a nice easy ride for her ego. She is just another odious politician of the old order. A rather nasty one who uses the issue for self promotion in her expenses fueled career. She told the plebs to go to state schools whilst sending her own to private(NAP)

I've always liked Diane.
She's good television I'll give her that. I'll never forget the face of Michael Portillo sitting beside her, grinning like the Cheshire cat as she faced an embarrassing questioning from Andrew Neil over some of her comments. Then after being completely sunk without trace, she ended the grilling by repeated saying in a soft voice ''Andrew I've got nothing more to say - Andrew I've got nothing more to say'' sounding like a needle stuck in the groove of a gramophone as her torment finally ended. And Portillo sitting right next to her had enjoyed every second of it. |
