I've almost finished my blockbuster and will be publishing it on Amazon Kindle in a week or so.

I'm going to send Alun an advance copy as he provided some old news copy I was looking for.

It's a financial "romantic thriller" (honestly, it's not an oxymoron) written initially  in a Adrian Mole and later John Grisham style, but obviously much better.

It'll appeal to chit chatters because it could provide you with some ideas about how to defraud your employers.

I'll keep you posted.

people that you work for ...

surely most chit chatters have got jobs.

I'd always assumed they were, in the main, employed in the Public Sector, hence having a lot of spare time on there hands to post on here.

Maybe I've misjudged and they're all layabouts.

I used to be a civil servant. It's true that I was seldom civil and never servile but the fact remains.

I know we will soon all be spk in txt but, is it OK now to say, as you did above, a Adrian Mole style? or should it still be an Adrian Mole style?

I do agree with dropping an before words beginning with h  eg ~ a horse sounds better than an horse, imo. But an apple sounds better to me than a apple.

It's all so confusing trying to keep up with the fast paced changes in life

This is fantastic news mememe.

I'm already looking forward immensely to reading this weighty, mouth-watering, epochal tome, and will gladly provide a 'publicity' quote for future editions.

I was thinking something along the lines of :

"I loved every raw and raunchy word"  (Alun2005)

Will that do?

Kindest regards etc

Crags ...

read it out loud and I think both 'a' and 'an' work.  This is the test for prose.

Thanks for your input though - will you buy the book?

If not, fook off Laugh

Alun,

"I loved every raw and raunchy word"  (Alun2005)

Very good, thank you - and apposite.

My original book contained no sex, but Mrs mememe advised that I should put some sex in it if I want it to sell Blush.

So it now has some in, and I expect every chit chatter will be buying a copy.

When it is published (in a few days - I am still checking for minor typos), I'll broadcast the great event on this forum.  I'm not sure we have that many literary giants posting on here at the moment - well, in truth, that many sane people really.

Thanks for your help Happy

My pleasure mememe. Email me when you have more publication info.

My 'quote' is, incidentally,  pinched from the late Jackie Collins. She won't mind.
