Saw a clip of Ed Milliband (MP for Doncaster, over 70% Brexit vote) saying yesterday how it wasn't really a vote for Brexit but a vote against the Establishment.

Said to Mrs mememe that he must have got another job lined up after this term of Parliament.

Looked this morning and he voted to Brexit!!!

At least daft Ken Clarke has principles, of a sort.

Lost all respect for KC after his actions and comments on Brexit.
Voteds against it pure and simply because he doesn't want to exit the EU.
Ignoring the referendum vote and therefore turning his back on democracy.

I have sympathy for KC because he's always held the view that the UK Parliament should be subservient to the EU and has never made any secret of that(I firmly believe he would have been PM if he had moderated his fanatical-EU views). He has a personal vote that turned his Rushcliffe constituency from Leave to Remain on his popularity alone.

All his political life he's been fighting for a European super state, in his last years that dream has been taking away from him. I don't mind a bit of petulance when you consider what he's lost.

I daresay it would be ungentlemanly for a BBC journalist to ask Abbott how she would have voted, had she not been suffering from illness?

Overwork I imagine.  Out the night before, House of Commons on the Brexit vote day, constantly on Twitter.

Oh dear.

I didn't abstain on purpose. I popped out for a quick snack and when I returned 3 hours later it was all over. #Article50Bill

Apparently she was on the lash with Shami the previous night. The plot thickens.

GOT, correct, she was on the lash with Chippybutty and that other odious creature Thornberry. They were allegedly rehearsing for their roles as the Three Witches in Macbeth.

I've always liked him as well JC and think he'd have made an excellent PM but I think he has badly let himself down over the EU of recent.

Anyways back to DA. Shows you in what a state Labour are in with her on the front benches and not the worst.

I agree, but he always has.

That's why I can have sympathy with someone like him who's had his lifetime work taken away, as opposed to someone like Clegg who is just thinking of his pension.
